a Note from a Bluebird to Share with YOU

Circle of Friends
lyrics by
Point of Grace
{life love & other mysteries}

In a Circle of Friends we share this prayer.......
If you weep
I will weep with you
If you sing for joy
the rest of us will lift our voices too
But no matter what you feel inside there's no need to pretend
That's the way it is in this circle of friends.....
And when we meet in heaven
we will recognize each other
with joy so deep and love so sweet
Oh we'll celebrate these friends
and a life that never ends
In a Circle of Friends we have one Father
In a Circle of friends we share this prayer
That it will not be long
All will enter in
To the shelter of this Circle of Friends
********

You are all such
dear sweet people

bringing laughter, warmth and loveliness to so many.

Thank you

for being part of this big
Circle of Friends.

A big thank you to Koralee at Bluebird Notes
for letting me share her teacup photo and song by Point of Grace.
Koralee has such a lovely blog, if you stop there, you'll instantly wear a smile.

My 100th Post!

S U R P R I S E D !
  • That Blogland would be this much fun!

  • That I would find so many WONDERFUL PEOPLE here!

  • That my joy would be multiplied meeting
    people of Faith & Inspiration
people with great imagination and humor
people who are stewards of Earth who celebrate its beauty.

  • That I would look up at the SKY more often and in doing so, breathe in more joy!

  • That giving THANKS would change me from the inside out!

  • That the lens of my camera would also work to open my own eyes to God's beauty.

...A Heartfelt Thanks to All of You...

for visiting here and letting me visit you too

...it has been time well spent...

    God's Sweetest Blessings
    of
    ~ Joy & Peace ~

That's an Eagle - We've got to turn around!

eagle for Dad's Birthday 9.2009

Last Saturday, on route 23 in central NY, my husband spotted the eagle perched on this dead tree.
It meant only one thing.
Turn around QUICK! It's always worth it!

The Heart of it All

What to bring to work

Too Cute for Apple Pie

There's personality in these 'faces,' don't you think?

I couldn't put these in the pie!

The Face I Wear

In the world, but not of the world.

This is the face I wear in the world.
This face wears 'sunblock' and faces a fluorescent light.

This is the blush of worldly love.
Underneath, I look pale.

. . . When I step away from the world . . .

This washed clean face looks to the 'SONshine'

and feels the blush of Heavenly Love
warmth on face and in heart.

Sweet forgiveness, grace and joy to help me Walk With Him into Kingdom living where form does not matter ~ only heart and soul.

How I Remember 9 - 11

I will never forget that morning.
I dismissed my sixth graders from class and passed the English teacher in the hall. She leaned in and whispered that a plane had crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center.
She had just left the nurse's office.
Our school nurse had an old television from home in her office. Those of us with a planning period found ourselves watching, standing stiffly with our hands over our mouths...barely able to speak. We watched in disbelief as the first tower came down a few minutes after 10am.
We were late to fourth period.
How would we reenter our classrooms, stand in front of these young innocents and teach like there was peace on Earth? It was decided by the administration not to tell the children. It was best for them to learn the tragic news through their parents. With heavy hearts, we finished our school day and entered into what seemed like endless news, tears, worry of more to come.
I have such gratitude for all of the men and women that brought themselves to the heart and heat of the tragedy to help...grateful to those that enlisted to protect our nation.
I remember being both proud and scared that my oldest daughter, Amanda, was an EMT. She was crew chief with two volunteer rescue squads that were always receiving new information and training in the event of further terrorism.
Early this morning, September 11, 2009 ~ my other daughter, Rachael, boarded a 737 for Seattle. Although she approached this day of work related travel with apprehension... she flew safely.
She told me that before they reached the Rockies, the rainy skies cleared and the beauty was spectacular.
Those towering mountains remind me of our strength and perseverance...which can never crumble.

Here's an incredible slideshow with the music of Enya's Only Time
I've watched it every year since 2001.

Summer Memories to take to School

It seems like summer just flew by, but as I stroll through my pictures,
I begin strolling through the weeks once again...
~How sweet~

Tuesday, I go back to school.
It's 'teacher staff day.'
I have to do a presentation on Windows Vista to
...an audience of teachers...
Wish me luck ;o)

Then, Wednesday the kids come.

I know that I can pray every morning for
*a spirit that's always renewed*
*a heart that is loving*
*an attitude of respect*
*an energizer body*
*a classroom that is welcoming*

*all of the above...so there'll be a sweet ride home*

~relaxing in a quiet car after my traditional stop at Dunkin' Donuts
:o)

Tonight, I pray for teachers and school children everywhere...
but most of all for
parents
who partner with God
to be their first and most important teachers.

Photos: summer memories, windows vista screen, here comes the bus, one of my many travel mugs ;) and the green space in my neighborhood on a moonlit night.

Clouds In My Coffee ~ Skywatch Friday

Next week, at this time, I'll be back in the classroom...
My 5th period class will have just left.

As a treat yesterday, my husband and I met for lunch at a cafe...
Professor Java

We ordered a large latte (vanilla, hazelnut & cinnamon) and shared it ;o)
I got a yummy hot wrap and hubby got a huge sandwich.
What a relaxing time...
Next week, I'll be dreaming of the clouds in my latte!
